Week 94
People are always telling us to watch out for the dogs around here. Well... we missed one this week.
MONDAY was pretty cool because my grandparents were passing through Las Cruces, and I got to see them for a little bit! They took us out to dinner, and when they left, they were able to take some of my stuff I needed to send home. It was really nice to see them, but it was also a bit strange because I'll see them in 2 months back home.
TUESDAY we had a really bad dust storm. It was so bad that they shut the highway down, and the TorC elders couldn't go to their area. So instead, they just blitzed our area with us. It was fun, and I got to hang out with Elder Owens for a bit while we waited for the dust to stop.
WEDNESDAY we spent a lot of time with the Spanish elders learning Spanish. Lots of fun, not much to write about though.
THURSDAY we went to the soup kitchen in the morning to do some service. I just got stuck washing dishes for 2 hours. It was pretty fun.
FRIDAY my comp got mauled by a dog (I'll add pictures), and we spent 3 hours in an urgent care getting him taken care of.
SATURDAY Elder Riggle's leg was pretty messed up, so we just sat at the apartment all day. I just spent the time cleaning all the dishes and organizing the apartment.
SUNDAY we had a follow-up at the urgent care in the morning and got him some crutches. Other than that, we had church and sat around a bunch.
D&C 67:13 says, "13 Ye are not able to abide the presence of God now, neither the ministering of angels; wherefore, continue in patience until ye are perfected."
