Week 73
Don't worry, I didn't miss a week; we just had our p-day moved to Christmas Eve! This email will be slightly longer, but next week's will be a bit shorter.
MONDAY we made cookies with our district before everyone got together for p-day. We didn't have a mixer, so they just made me use my hand to mix the dough.
TUESDAY we had a couple of really good lessons with some of the people we met. I also had a meeting with all the other social media trainers in the mission to help get them prepared for the new transfer.
WEDNESDAY nothing went as we planned. We had everything set up a certain way that morning during daily planning, and by the end of the day, our schedule was completely different!
THURSDAY I took a bit of time getting some presents and letters ready for my last and current mission presidents.
FRIDAY we woke up with no hot water in the apartment, which really sucked when we had to get showered! This last transfer had mixed up the zone a bunch, so I had a good time getting to know all the new people.
SATURDAY we spent the day visiting a lot of people and sharing Christmas messages with them.
SUNDAY we went and got showers at the senior missionaries' apartment because we still didn't have hot water. Then we went to church and had our Christmas program, which was a little funny when our last speaker finished, and we still had 20 minutes left. We ended up singing a couple more Christmas hymns to fill the time. After, the Willis' had some of the kids here for Christmas, and we talked with them for almost a whole hour. Then that evening, we watched our mission FHE with the whole zone at the stake center.
EXTRA MONDAY was just a regular day of work with nothing too interesting.
Moroni 8:2-3 says, "2 My beloved son, Moroni, I rejoice exceedingly that your Lord Jesus Christ hath been mindful of you, and hath called you to his ministry, and to his holy work. 3 I am mindful of you always in my prayers, continually praying unto God the Father in the name of his Holy Child, Jesus, that he, through his infinite goodness and grace, will keep you through the endurance of faith on his name to the end."
No matter the circumstances of our lives or the trials we are facing, praying for ourselves and for the support of others will give us strength to go on.
