Week 89

Transfers have come again, and you already know what happened with me. I am being transferred after only 5 weeks here to the Las Colinas Ward in the Las Cruces Zone. Apparently, they're trying to get me to check off every zone in the mission haha.
MONDAY we did all the normal P-day activities of playing sports and hanging out at the church. What we did that was special was that some of the missionaries mentioned going to Denny's to get dinner. What was originally going to just be 2 or 4 missionaries getting dinner turned into 12 out of the 16 missionaries in our zone all showing up one after the other and just making a bigger and bigger group the waiter had to take care of.
TUESDAY was a bit annoying because they started road construction on the only road into our area. It was already a long, boring 30-minute drive to our area, and now it's an even more long, boring 50-minute drive where we have to follow a very slow pilot car down the road. I am not a fan of road construction.
WEDNESDAY we did some service for our members up in Pleasanton. It wasn't anything too straining, and we even got to talk to someone else they had helping them about the church, so it was pretty good.
THURSDAY was both my 21-month mark in my mission and my 20th birthday. So overall, it was a good day.
FRIDAY we were having dinner with one of our members, and they told us that they were having a band practice with a bunch of other members right after. When we finished dinner, the other people started to show up, and they invited us to listen to them play. It was pretty cool just how much musical talent our ward had.
SATURDAY we did 5 hours of service straight helping some people put up sheetrock and moving some really big tree logs. It was a ton of work, and my arms got really tore up from it. We also had transfer news that night, and almost every single companionship in the mission is getting changed.
SUNDAY we had stake conference here in Silver City. We got to say a couple of goodbyes at it and then went to a baptism for the other missionaries right after.

During my studies this week, I found this scripture that I really like. Hebrews 2:14–15 says,
"14 Forasmuch then as the children are partakers of flesh and blood, he also himself likewise took part of the same; that through death he might destroy him that had the power of death, that is, the devil;
15 And deliver them who through fear of death were all their lifetime subject to bondage."
