Week 86

Nothing too exciting this week, but we did manage to spend a lot more time in our area. I also did the math and realized that I'd spent at least 10 hours driving between Wednesday and Monday.
MONDAY I had to drive an hour over to Deming so we could meet up with the rest of the zone for P-day. It was a pretty good time and we had our own little cookout in the church.
TUESDAY we just went to a couple more towns in our area that we hadn't visited yet and met some of the members around there.
WEDNESDAY we did something a little special by going to the farmers market in our area. It was a really good way to get to know more people in the community and to let people know that there are missionaries in the area again. We talked with a bunch of people at their stands, got some good food, and I also got the chance to video Elder Droge walking around with drunk goggles on, so it was a lot of fun.
THURSDAY our plans all got wrecked because halfway into the day we got a screw in our tire and had to go back to Silver to fix it because the power was out in our area.
FRIDAY we did some service for one of our members by doing some woodworking for him. What was cool was that I found something one of my past companions left there at the member's woodworking shop.
SATURDAY we spent almost all day just walking different streets and knocking on doors. It was nice to just walk for a while, but a little unsatisfying because of how few people we actually talked to.
SUNDAY we had ward conference. Just from all the stake leadership coming, we almost doubled our attendance that week. We had some really great speakers and then had a linger longer afterwards.

Ephesians 5:17 says, "17 Wherefore be ye not unwise, but understanding what the will of the Lord is." It's easy to try and just act based on what we want or what we think is best, but what truly is the best for our eternal lives is to do what the Lord would have us do.

1, 2 – cookout
