Week 70
Welcome to December, everyone! Are y'all ready to listen to Christmas music 24/7 for 30 days? Not the most interesting week, but we had Thanksgiving, so now it's fine to have Christmas decorations up.
MONDAY we spent our proselytizing time in a trio because the Fort Stockton zone leaders were in town for a meeting and needed something to do until the next day. The one we were with had served in the area before, so we went around and let him say hi to some of the people he taught when he was here. That night was crazy because almost all the missionaries in our zone showed up at our apartment and started wrestling for some reason.
TUESDAY I was still feeling sick, so we stayed home and rested again.
WEDNESDAY we got a new car because the one we were driving was apparently old enough for them to cycle it out. After that, I got put into a trio for the day with two other missionaries who were sick so Elder Fetuao could go out and work. Make sure to wash your hands, y'all.
THURSDAY we had a good turkey day. All the missionaries in El Paso helped clean up different blocks in the city after the parade the city had. It was cool because Elder Fetuao and I were cleaning with President Willis and also got on one of the local news stations. And as all should do on Thanksgiving, we ate a lot of food. We even made gingerbread houses with all the youth at lunch.
FRIDAY I went on exchanges. The elder I went with is still in his first transfer, so we talked about a lot of stuff that had been going on back home as we were working.
SATURDAY was the first full day of work I'd been able to do in a bit, so it felt nice to be able to get back into the swing of it. I was pretty happy with dinner that night because our member took us out to eat at Canes.
SUNDAY I saw President Willis at our ward for the first time since I've been here. It's pretty cool to have him actually living in our ward boundaries and seeing him at church.
In Words of Mormon 1:4 it says, "4 And the things which are upon these plates pleasing me, because of the prophecies of the coming of Christ; and my fathers knowing that many of them have been fulfilled; yea, and I also know that as many things as have been prophesied concerning us down to this day have been fulfilled, and as many as go beyond this day must surely come to pass." Those that truly love Jesus Christ and those who love the Bible will love the Book of Mormon because it truly testifies of Christ in all things. This Christmas season, try to share the light of Jesus Christ by using the Book of Mormon.
