Week 61

This week was our transfers, so I got a new companion and we had to go introduce him to a lot of people, just like what happened when I got here. We also went on a bunch of exchanges so that we could teach our Spanish friends.

MONDAY we had a lot of fun playing board games with the zone in Fort Stockton. Because there are so few of us out here, we're able to have almost everyone play at once. Then that evening, we went around visiting people so Elder Watson could say his goodbye.

TUESDAY we finished up with all the goodbye visits and packing that Elder Watson needed to do, so we spent the rest of the day finding people to teach.

WEDNESDAY transfers took up the whole day. We left probably around 11 in the morning and didn’t get back until around 6 in the evening. It was a lot of driving, but I just got to sit in the passenger seat the whole time, so it wasn't too bad.

THURSDAY we spent a lot of time taking Elder Hardy around to introduce him to the members in the branch and some of our friends as well. We also were able to talk with our zone and district leaders to figure out an exchange schedule so we can teach our Spanish friends.

FRIDAY I went on exchanges with Elder Layne, a missionary I came out with and also my ZL. It was a pretty awesome time because we managed to have a really cool right place, right time miracle where we were able to have a lesson with one of our friends just at the last available time they would have that day.

SATURDAY before we unexchanged, Elder Layne and I talked a bunch about this game called Magic: The Gathering and compared each other's cards, which was really fun. He even gave me some cards that he thought would be good for my deck, which was really kind of him.

SUNDAY we had the missionaries from Alpine at church because their building was closed because of mold. We went on an exchange with them because one of them was Spanish-speaking, so we could go teach some of our Spanish friends.

3 Nephi 12:9 says, "And blessed are all the peacemakers, for they shall be called the children of God." Being a peacemaker is something that is definitely needed in this time.
