Week 54
This week has some interesting news and will be remembered as the week of the first transfers in the TEPM!
MONDAY was pretty fun because I was able to try out a new board game I got called Betrayal, and it was a pretty big hit at p-day!
TUESDAY I forgot to write down anything that happened, so I'll just say that we visited a lot of people.
WEDNESDAY I actually remember what happened! That evening we had dinner with this younger couple in the ward, and it was pretty funny because it was almost the exact same as talking with other missionaries or people around our age. They just joked around a bunch, and it was a pretty good time. We also had a really cool experience at the downtown plaza where we got to teach the plan of salvation to someone who was really humble about it. The spirit was really strong as we were teaching him, so I know that what we were saying was hitting true with him.
THURSDAY the most exciting thing was that we got a couch for the new apartment! Having some furniture other than our study desks and our beds makes it feel a bit nicer in there.
FRIDAY wasn't the best day because I ended up getting food poisoning from something the night before and was sick all day.
SATURDAY we had stake conference. It's been a cool thing that I've been able to go to stake conference in every area I've been in and see so many talks. That day we were able to hear talks from the mission president and his wife as well as from an area 70. We also got transfer news that evening, and the news is that I'm going to Monahans, TX.
SUNDAY we had the general session of stake conference where the 70 spoke for 45 minutes. Later we went finding and got to see this really cool curbside opera.
Crazy week, right? In 1 Nephi 3:7 it says: "And it came to pass that I, Nephi, said unto my father: I will go and do the things which the Lord hath commanded, for I know that the Lord giveth no commandments unto the children of men, save he shall prepare a way for them that they may accomplish the thing which he commandeth them." We don't always see the path that the Lord wants us to take, but He will always provide a way for us to be able to rely on Him and have joy in this life.
