Week 42

Nothing too interesting has really happened this week, but I guess that's just how some weeks will be when you've been out for long enough.

MONDAY no one in our district really felt like going anywhere to do anything, so we just stayed in our area and ended up playing a bunch of board games at our apartment.

TUESDAY we spent most of the day just tracting and trying to find someone we could start teaching.

WEDNESDAY I went on exchanges to EspaƱola with our Spanish-speaking zone leader. It was a pretty fun day because it had been a while since I had lived with another set of missionaries and just hanging out with them during dinner and lunch was funny. Ending off the day was interesting because we had a very emotional lesson with one of the people they had been teaching, but it was all in Spanish so I didn't understand any of what was said.

THURSDAY we unexchanged and ended up spending the rest of the day inside the apartment because the day before Elder Shawcroft had a bit of a low fever and was still feeling a bit out of it. We decided it would probably be a good idea to let him rest and recover.

FRIDAY our district council was focused a lot on the importance of obedience and striving to live as the Savior would.

SATURDAY we spent a lot of time visiting members and sharing a message about member missionary work with them. It was nice to go and do that because it got us out of the heat for a little bit. Another thing that was cool was that I had read over 50% of the Old Testament.

SUNDAY we talked a lot about Abinadi in the youth Sunday school. It was funny because the kids had to give the adults their stuff to symbolize the taxes of the wicked king Noah, and we got some kid's phone and AirPods.

In Alma 7:9 it says, "But behold, the Spirit hath said this much unto me, saying: Cry unto this people, saying—Repent ye, and prepare the way of the Lord, and walk in his paths, which are straight; for behold, the kingdom of heaven is at hand, and the Son of God cometh upon the face of the earth." Being able to serve the Lord in his work is a responsibility that is so important because we truly are so close to the second coming.
