Week 30

This week was tough because our apartment kept trading who was sick. Being sick sucks as a missionary.

MONDAY I took some time and emailed a couple of the other people from home who are on missions. It's pretty cool seeing what it's like in other missions and how they do things in other states. I also managed to lose at every board game and sport we did at zone p-day somehow. At least it was fun.

TUESDAY the trend of missionaries in our apartment getting sick started with one of our zone leaders getting a cold. Other than that, the day was pretty average with the funniest thing being some members being very vocal at dinner about how much they hate Boise State and its blue football field. Elder Stanger and I also got asked to give talks on Sunday.

WEDNESDAY we tried and failed to get a couch some members were throwing away into our apartment. It was pretty disappointing because we got it all the way to the apartment and in the door, but we couldn't get it up the stairs. After we got cleaned up from that, we did companion study and worked on our talks a bit. And to make up for not getting the couch, we found some free art while out tracking.

THURSDAY Elder Stanger was sick so we just stayed inside and did what we could there.

FRIDAY we had the last district council that some of the missionaries here will have because a couple of them are going home, it was pretty good. Also more work on my talk.

SATURDAY I woke up sick now. I jinxed myself because I kept talking about how I basically never get sick. I finished my talk, and I'm actually pretty proud of it.

SUNDAY we didn't go to church because I was still sick, so I just listened to a bunch of BYU devotionals.

This week wasn't too interesting, but if anyone wants to read my talk, email me, and I'll send it to you. My spiritual thought for this week comes from Enos 1:8, which says, "And he said unto me: Because of thy faith in Christ, whom thou hast never before heard nor seen. And many years pass away before he shall manifest himself in the flesh; wherefore, go to, thy faith hath made thee whole." Most likely, none of us will see Christ in our lives, but still having faith in him will bless us.
